BIO

Navigating the realm between ritual spaces and systemic power structures, Anna Zingmark explores how flocks and hierarchies can be recalibrated in their encounters with the outside world. The resulting works function as physical responses to questions of power, extraction, and material agency.

By appropriating sacred tools, such as liturgy, chanting and meditation, she approaches spirituality and self-optimisation as contemporary, market-driven systems. Here, the body and voice function as instruments for navigating crisis and physiological resistance. She is interested in the moments where individualism meets collective vulnerability, where individual identity leaks, giving way to a mass that is both ancient and intertwined.
